Can we all stop worrying and speculating about whether or not Biden will or should run for a second term, please? Sure, the presidency is important. Do you wanna know what’s more important? Filling as many seats as possible at all other levels of government with voices that echo our concerns!
Did you know that all 435 voting seats in the House of Representatives are up for election this fall?
I wish I’d have written this sooner. We’re already closing in on the end of midterm primaries and I’m not convinced enough people paid attention and got out to vote for that. But for the love of all that is good in this world, we all need to show up in November!
We need to stop thinking of everything from the top down – government, economics, power, etc., and start focusing on building from the bottom up! The president can only do so much, and as we’ve seen repeatedly, without a supportive House and Senate, nothing really happens. There is infinitely more power to affect change if we work harder to elect supportive folks into our school boards, into our local governmental positions, as our mayors and governors, as our representatives and senators, and yes, as our president too.
